Archaeological and geological sites

Archaeology and geology are two sciences that are used to study history: the former examines human history and the latter the Earth’s. These sciences have helped us understand how the Pacific Islands were formed, where the peoples that settled them came from and how their cultures developed down through history. In Pacific contexts, archaeological and geological sites are part of what the Natural heritage.
